Tonight is the night!

CBS' much talked-about reboot of Hawaii Five-0 launches with a series premiere that feels more like a major motion picture than a TV show—and that's a very good thing.

I just caught up with stars Daniel Dae Kim and Alex O'Loughlin on Five-0's set in Honolulu and you fans are gonna want to hear what they have to say about their new gig, the stunts, and what's this about Josh Holloway and Jennifer Lopez?

First, a little inside intel: According to casting sources, Lost's Sawyer, Josh Holloway, was originally considered for the lead role in Hawaii Five-0, which ultimately went to Australian charmer Alex O'Loughlin (Moonlight, Three Rivers). I'm told producers didn't want two former Losties on the series, so after DDK was cast, Holloway was no longer in contention.

But he can still guest star, right?

You can hear what DDK has to say about his pal Holloway, plus his insight on his new gig, and further credence that Daniel Dae Kim is quite honestly the most grounded/likeable Hollywood actor you'll ever meet (pinky swear) in this exclusive video clip from the Five-0 set:

Meanwhile, you fans asked via Twitter whether O'Loughlin's Backup Plan costar Jennifer Lopez might make a guest spot on Five-0. Alex answers that, and gives his take on how she'll be as a judge on one of his favorite shows, American Idol, in the exclusive video interview below. Alex also tells a hilarious story about trying to get his facial expressions right while learning to do stunts (he's a natural for Ex-Lax ads)...

We didn't name Hawaii Five-0 our No.1 new series this fall for nothing. With Alex, Daniel, Scott Caan and Grace Park in the cast—plus show runners Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Fringe, Star Trek, Alias, Transformers)—this version is a slick, action-packed ride (with laughs, courtesy of Caan) that seems poised to win over even you naysayers.

After you watch tonight's premiere, hit up our comments section with your take on the show. Love it? Hate it? Willing to give it another shot? Also, what do you all think of Josh H. in the lead role? A Sawyer and Miles crossover back to the Island with Jin? Let's make it happen, Kurtzman and Orci!
