Adam Lambert: For Your Entertainment—Or His?

Adam Lambert Matt Sayles/AP Photo

Adam Lambert is fully embracing his new solo career—as well as his keyboard player, too.

The American Idol runner-up gave the final performance at the 2009 American Music Awards, and he delivered much of what earlier outings by Janet Jackson, Carrie Underwood, Rihanna, Shakira, Lady Gaga and others had: Lots of back-up dancers, a stumble or two and just a bit of raunchiness.

OK, in Lambert's case, there was more than a bit of racy material as he mixed together a so-so song, some S&M imagery and a bit of simulated sex. Oh, and that juicy mid-song kiss, too.

For your entertainment, of course. Was it enough to make his performance the best of the evening?

Dr. Phil, Rachael Ray & More Continue Singing Oprah's Praises

Oprah Winfrey Bob Davis/ Harpo Productions

Before everyone and his mother had a daytime talk show, there was Oprah Winfrey.

And the news that in less than two years there won't be an Oprah Winfrey Show as we know it has prompted an outpouring of well wishes and appreciations from those whose stars have shined a little brighter thanks to Oprah's warm glow.

"I am going to enjoy every episode between now and 2011," offered Food Network star turned syndicated talk-show host Rachael Ray, who waited until Oprah had discussed the matter "one-on-one" with her audience today to comment.

"Oprah opened the door for me to move into daytime television and I can't thank her enough. I look forward to seeing what she does next…there will only ever be one Oprah!"

Hell, even Dr. Phil McGraw knows who first put him on the map.

Does God Save the Supernatural Boys?

Jensen Ackles, Supernatural Jack Rowand/The CW
More from Watch with Kristin

Can you believe we have to wait almost two months for a new episode of Supernatural, especially after yesterday's heartbreaker "Abandon All Hope"? The wait is going to be positively gruesome, but to keep, well, hope alive during the holidays, we gathered up the answers some of your burning SPN fan Q's.

So what's the biggest question of all right now in the Supernatural-verse? For our money it's this: Why is God so darn laissez-faire in his approach to the Apocalypse? The Winchesters could really use a hand mopping up all the fire and brimstone that's raining down on Earth right now! Come on, big man! Show your face!

So, will there be a deus ex machina in season five of Supernatural? Here's what we're hearing:

God help Stan when he finds out James has been moonlighting in the Monsters of Folk.

Everybody Cries, One Girl Wins on Project Runway

Carol Hannah, Irina, Althea, Project Runway Kannie Yu LaPack, Lifetime

Every season, it all comes down to Bryant Park.

Nine months after they marched their 13-look collections down the runway at Fall Fashion Week, Althea Harper, Irena Shabayeva and Carol Hannah Whitfield stood quaking before Heidi Klum & Co., waiting to hear who would be named the winner of Project Runway's much-delayed sixth season.

Of course it looked as if time was going to run out, garments were going to go unfinished and each woman was going to float away on a river of tears (mixed with other fluids, in the virus-stricken Carol Hannah's case).

But, wouldn't you know, all three ladies, competing in the second all-girl finale in a row, showed classy, polished and, for the most part, extremely wearable collections at the couture extravaganza in NYC.

And for the spoiler-avoiders among us, it seemed like anyone's game.

Ellen: Oprah Will Always Be the Queen of Daytime TV

It's not a death, but it will be a loss.

The accolades are pouring in already for Oprah Winfrey, who's planning to talk on the air tomorrow about her decision to end her syndicated daytime show in September 2011, following its 25th season.

Fellow Daytime Emmy winner Ellen DeGeneres, who a couple weeks ago had a special only-on-Oprah moment when she and wife Portia de Rossi shared their wedding video, took a moment today while taping her own show to laud her colleague's prolific career.

"Right before I came out here, I got a call from Oprah and she told me that she is announcing that next year will be her last year," DeGeneres told her studio audience.

"I don't think I could be here without her. I think she has blazed a trail...She is an amazing woman. She will always be the queen of daytime television and she also said she is leaving me all of her money."

That got a big hoot from the audience.

More from Watch with Kristin

So let us get this straight. While millions of fans and hoards of papparazzi around the world are going bat-poop crazy trying to gain access to Hollywood's No. 1 "It" man, a petite little artist who was so shy she used to eat her lunch alone in a bathroom stall just—whoopsie!—bumped smack into him?

'Tis true. Oh yeah, and she also just so happend to win America's Next Top Model.

You know the drill: Along with the title, Nicole Fox receives a $100,000 contract with cosmetics giant CoverGirl, management by Wilhelmina Models cover and a Seventeen magazine cover.

But now apparently there is a new prize: a backstage rendezvous with Robert Pattinson.

We spoke with Nicole this morning, and in addition to dishing the deets on her ANTM victory, she revealed her surprise run-in with the world's most celebrated vampire earlier today...

Top Chef: We Was Had (and That's OK!)

Top Chef, Bryan Voltaggio, Jennifer Carroll, Michael Voltaggio, Kevin Gillespie Trae Patton/BRAVO
More from Watch with Kristin

We got taken for a ride by a Top cheftestant, and we don't mind one bit.

When we told you a couple weeks back that we had reason to believe that a front-runner (Jen, Kevin, Mike V. or Bryan) went home early, that reason was because someone from our team ran into "the red-haired guy from Top Chef" (aka Kevin Gillespie) while shopping for engagement rings in downtown L.A. The chef in question told our friend, "I got kicked off before the end." Well, as you saw last night, Kevin won the final Vegas challenge and sailed safely into the finale, along with fellow obvious finalists Jen Carroll and the Volt bros.

(FYI, this encounter happened in mid-October, which we believe to be before Kevin went north to shoot the finale in Napa, so don't sue us if Kevin doesn't make it into the final three and you feel spoiled. In that case, it's just a coincidence and we're not liable, darn it!)

We warned you at the time, "It could be part of a Bravo misinformation campaign, but we trust the source, so we're passing it along to you." Well, it's looking more and more like misinformation is the case, and we have to say, "Thanks, Bravo!"

Why are we grateful to have been taken for a ride? Well...

Grey's Anatomy Love Triangle: "The Characters Can't Be Happy All the Time"

Grey's Anatomy, Kevin McKidd, Sandra Oh ABC/DANNY FELD
More from Watch with Kristin

Here's the bad news: Kim Raver's Teddy Altman is definitely a complication for Grey's Anatomy's most beloved twosome of the moment: Kevin McKidd's Owen Hunt and Sandra Oh's Cristina Yang. As Kevin McKidd correctly pointed out when we spoke earlier this week, "For a TV show to work, the characters can't be happy all the time." (Bah humbug!)

Now, here's the good news: McKidd and costar Sandra Oh are both total Crowen shippers who want to see their characters together as much or more than we do. McKidd testifies, "I want the best for him. I want him to be happy. I want him to be in love. I want him to be all these things, and so does Sandra [for her character]." And you've got to believe that all that love for love will win out in the end, right?

Kevin McKidd explained to us why he and Sandra are so in synch, both on and offscreen, and what this triangle means for the show. Plus, McKidd revealed a worrisome suspicion that Owen's old nemesis might be back sooner rather than later...
