Papa Prejean Speaks! Carrie's Dad Finds Sex Tapes Totally Irrelevant

Carrie Prejean Michael Loccisano/Getty Images

Apparently, it runs in the family.

No matter how many topless photos, inappropriate TV interviews, solo sex tapes or unrelenting victim complexes Carrie Prejean takes on, she'll always be daddy's little girl. And daddy's little girl can do no wrong.

Miss California pageant officials, on the other hand...

"The personal information they are bringing out against Carrie is irrelevant to anything," Will Prejean tells E! News exclusively from his home in San Diego.

Make that, irrelevant to anything, and distracting as anything.

"Look at Larry King, he asked Carrie harder questions than he asked [Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad.

"Carrie is supposed to be doing all of these TV appearances to promote her book and everyone can only focus on the tapes," he continued. "I'm not someone who looks backwards. I think we need to look to the future. Why isn't anyone talking about the charity work and all of the charitable organizations that Carrie's involved in?"

Probably because people like Carrie and (like father, like daughter) Will keep making lightning-rod statements. Just like this:

Carrie Prejean Hearts Sarah Palin...Larry King Not So Much

Carrie Prejean is pretty, but she sure is testy.

Larry King got the fallen beauty queen so fired up on CNN's Larry King Live last night, she walked out on the show.

Prejean is in the middle of a publicity bonanza hawking her new book, Still Standing, detailing her clash with Donald Trump, Shanna Moakler and the rest of the Miss California organization.

After she showed off the tome and talked about her love for Sarah Palin—she considers herself "Palinized"—King began to ask about Prejean's recent settlement with the pageant organizers. She continued to spout her party line...that is, until she called King inappropriate and ripped off her microphone.

Rihanna: I Still Love Chris Brown

Despite all that's happened, Rihanna doesn't hate Chris Brown.

In fact, she still loves him.

"I don't hate him at all," she tells Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America. "I actually love and care about him and I'm concerned about him doing well. I want him to do well, have a great career, have a great life and grow up, and just take this as something that you had to go through to grow up and learn."

She may wish him the best, but neither this morning nor yesterday morning did she mention the words forgiveness, reconciliation or rekindle, although those are topics supposedly set to be tackled on tonight's 20/20 special.

The singer did, however, explain some of what happened in the car that fateful February night.

Mariah Carey Claims Emotional and Mental Abuse

Rihanna may have had it rough, but, unfortunately, hers is not the only abuse story on the docket this week.

Mariah Carey appeared on Larry King Live last night and admitted she's faced her own difficult relationships. "Abuse has several categories," she tells the host when he asks if she's ever been in a situation similar to Rihanna's. "[I've been abused] Emotionally, mentally."

Not unlike the battered pop star, Carey says the hardest part was breaking free from ex-husband Tommy Mottola (whom she doesn't mention by name but very clearly alludes to).

"It's scary," she admits. "I just think you get into a situation and you feel locked in…For me, to really get out, it was difficult because there was connection that was not only a marriage, but a business thing where the person was in control of my life."

When asked for her thoughts on Rihanna's struggles, she reacts the way many of us have.

"Yikes," she says calmly, later adding, "I can't imagine what she went through."

OMG! Did Hailey Glassman Just Dump Jon Gosselin?

Hailey Glassman, Twitter twitter.com/HaileyGlassman1

Sorry may not have been the hardest word for Jon Gosselin to say on last night's Larry King Live sitdown (he said it enough times to dispel that notion), but it certainly seemed to be the hardest word for Hailey Glassman to hear.

"Its time 2 move on This drama has taken over my life, nevermind the entire like world So beyond stressful. Like living in a state of paranoia!" she tweeted this morning.

Despite how that sounds, Glassman, who watched her beau's prime-time appearance from New York and did not accompany him to Los Angeles for the taping, says that she and Gosselin haven't split up—though it may be fair to say the duo did ever so briefly hit a rough patch.

"We are not broken up," she exclusively tells E! News. "People don't break up via Twitter."

But they do tweet their grievances...

Jon Gosselin: I Don't Want to Be This Person Anymore...I Have to Be a Man

Loading...

Apparently Jon Gosselin's reflection is different from the image he's been seeing on TV for four years.

"I had an epiphany one day," he said tonight on Larry King Live, a hot spot for all things Gosselin these days. "I looked in the mirror and I said, 'I don't want to be this person anymore.'"

That was one of the explanations the disgruntled reality-TV dad offered up as a reason for why he, after once defending the integrity of the show completely, has now ordered TLC to quit filming him and his kids, prompting the network to suspend production.

"I'm sorry I said that," he said, referring to his past on-camera comments about what a great time the kids were having on the set. "If I would have said opposite of that—breach of contract."

"I meant it and I felt that way," he added. "Now looking back..."

According to Jon, his change of heart is not because the show will be called Kate Plus 8 when/if it returns in November—a name change he had no prior knowledge of, he says.

Chris Brown: Nobody Taught Rihanna and I "How to Love Each Other"

Chris Brown, Larry King Live Peter "Hopper" Stone/CNN

Chris Brown was—and still is—in love with Rihanna, he says. But though they had "a pretty sturdy and great relationship," he apparently wasn't emotionally equipped to deal with the rough patches.

"I'm not saying domestic violence is a part of relationships," he said when asked by Larry King last week why he thinks he got violent with his then-girlfriend back in February.

"We're both young, nobody taught us how to love one another. No one taught us a book on how to control our emotions, our anger."

"I'm not trying to fall on the fact that I'm young," the 20-year-old singer added, his soft tone and blue bowtie only serving to emphasize his boyishness. "There's a lot of stuff I wish I could have changed that night."

But seeing as how that's impossible, all he can do is hope for a bunch of better tomorrows.

Chris Brown Breaks Silence on Rihanna Assault: "That's Not Who I Pride Myself on Being"

If you think Chris Brown's fans were floored when they heard about his assault of Rihanna, well, their shock had nothing on the R&B star's.

That is, if his first interview about the incident, set to air on Larry King Live's hallowed, softball-lined halls Wednesday, is to be believed.

A short (and we mean short) portion of Brown's interview with the suspender king, recorded at CNN's Hollywood HQ last Wednesday, was released online this morning in which Brown, flanked by his contrite and supportive mother Joyce Hawkins and attorney Mark Geragos, revealed that he had no recollection of the bloody altercation earlier this year.

"No, I don't," he said when asked whether he remembers beating up his superstar ex-girlfriend. "It's like, it's crazy to me, I'm like, wow."

As it happens, "wow" appeared to be Brown's refrain of choice during the interview.

Chris Brown Talks it Out With Larry King

Chris Brown Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images

Chris Brown has apologized to Rihanna (several times, he says) and 'fessed up on video for the world to see.

But apparently the disgraced R&B star still had something to say, because he sat down with Larry King on Wednesday at CNN's Hollywood headquarters for his first interview since his Feb. 8 arrest for assaulting his ex, E! News has learned exclusively.

And it was a no-holds-barred chat during which Brown answered every question put to him, according to our source.

The insider tells E! that the interview will air sometime next week on Larry King Live.

Brown was formally sentenced yesterday to five years' probation, 52 weeks of domestic-violence counseling and 180 days of community labor, which he's planning to complete in his home state of Virginia.

Kate Gosselin: Jon's a Good Dad "Deep Down"

Kate Gosselin James Devaney/Getty Images

Kate Gosselin is right about at least one thing: 5 and 8 are a little young to be hearing bedtime stories about Hailey Glassman and Kate Major

According to mom, the eight Gosselin children are "wonderful, marvelous, gorgeous, lovely."

But the reality-TV matriarch is still coming to terms with the end of her 10-year marriage to Jon Gosselin. And, though we think it would be a helpful part of the healing process, she doesn't plan on spilling any juicy details about why they broke up until her toddlers have reached voting age.

"My main concern is my kids," she said on Larry King Live Tuesday. "I don't want them to see or hear anything on TV that I didn't discuss with them. We discussed what they need to know at their developmental age group."

And despite the stuff she can't talk about on TV, Kate answered "yes" when Larry King asked if her estranged hubby is a good father.

After a really long pause, that is.

Joe Jonas Kinda, Sorta Confirms Nick and Miley Are Together

Maybe the awkwardness of having to share love life details with someone old enough to be your grand great-grandfather had something to do with this.

The Jonas Brothers were being interviewed by Larry King Thursday night, when the subject of the boys' status came up.

"How are you doing in the female situation, Joe?" asked King. "Do you have a girlfriend?"

"Yes, I do," a clearly uncomfortable Joe replied.

King proceeded to ask Joe if his girlfriend was as famous as Nick's, obviously referring to Miley Cyrus and the rumors that the two are once again an item.

And then it happened…
