Tom Cruise in Motorcycle Accident?! Don't Believe the Hype
This just in—believing everything you read online can be risky business.
In case you were worried after reading the breathless "exclusive" headline on Hollywoodlife.com today proclaiming "Tom Cruise Hurt in Motorcycle Accident—His Quick Moves Saved His Life!," go ahead and exhale. Mr. Mission: Impossible is A-OK.
His publicist, Amanda Lundberg, tells E! News that the 47-year-old Cruise was not involved in any such incident today. "Totally false," she says of the report, which also claimed Cruse needed medical attention at a nearby hospital. "Not true at all."
There was a bike accident in L.A. today involving a red Ducati near Koi Restaurant, but it was not Cruise's motorcycle.
Besides, didn't Hollywoodlife get the message? It's Cruise who's usually doing the real-life heroics, not the one in need of rescue.
Brad Paisley Lives to Tweet After Tumble on Tour
Talk about a show stopper!
Country music sensation Brad Paisley graced the stage for one last encore on his American Saturday Night Tour, and ended up taking a tumble so huge, it landed him in the right in the hospital.
Fortunately, Paisley suffered no serious injuries from the fall, and even more fortunate for us, he was nice enough to document his drama on Twitter, asking fans to post video of his spill online asap—of course, they obliged.
"Tnx4 prayers, after my fall,I was just discharged from the hospital.Just very very bruised. Nothing broken, had a ct scan all is okay!" the "Alcohol" singer wrote. "Allright, whoever posts the YouTube footage of it gets a meet and greet. I have got to see it. I hit hard. And I mean freaking hard."
Paisely braved the pain, posing for pictures with hospital staff and making a few more jokes at his own expense to close out the night. "And here, consulting the doctors. They said I was a very brave boy," he joked with a caption on one shot. "Charleston rocked though. Out with a bang for the ASN tour.literally."
He may have lived to tweet another day, but that doesn't mean he's not feeling the aftermath of his party foul. "Man am I sore today. You guys should see the bruise," Paisley wrote just moments ago. Something tells us this TwitPic fanatic may not make us wait very long for a sneak peek at the damage.
Gary Coleman Suffers Another Seizure
At least this is different than a stroke.
Gary Coleman suffered a seizure while shooting an interview for The Insider earlier today.
According to the show's website, he received immediate attention from Dr. Drew Pinsky, who was sitting beside him at the time. Paramedics were called and he was transferred to the hospital.
The former Diff'rent Strokes star is currently in stable condition.
Meanwhile, The Insider has promised it will not be airing or releasing any of the footage of Coleman's collapse.
This year is turning out to be an eventful one for the diminutive actor. It began with another trip to the hospital for a "minor seizure." He was released following some routine testing. Not long after, he was arrested for domestic violence, thrown in the slammer and then released on bail.
All this, not to mention that thing with his penis. Yikes!

Kiefer Sutherland Health Scare Stalls 24 Production
Much like 24's perpetually lovelorn Jack Bauer, Kiefer Sutherland will have to leave the Valentine's romance for another day.
20th Century Fox Studios has halted production on the hit series after the actor suffered a ruptured cyst earlier in the week, a 24 rep confirms to E! News.
Sutherland is scheduled to undergo minor surgery related to the ailment, but is not expected to be out long as 24 is set to resume filming in just a few days.
"While Kiefer Sutherland is frustrated to miss even one day of work, he and Fox decided together that it would be best to complete this minor elective procedure now as a precaution as opposed to six weeks from now when production wraps," his rep tells the Los Angeles Times. "He looks forward to returning to work next week."
Likewise, Fox fully supports its action-star telling the publication: "We are temporarily suspending production of 24 while our friend and colleague Kiefer Sutherland undergoes a medical procedure. We hope to resume production shortly and do not anticipate any disruption in the broadcast of this season's episodes."
24's eighth season premiered on Fox this January.
Trace Adkins' Band Escapes Injury After Fatal Crash
Country music badboy Trace Adkins is set to continue the Louisiana leg of his tour following his band's Saturday morning bus crash which claimed the lives of two motorists.
A pickup truck reportedly drifted into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into Adkins' tour bus. The former Celebrity Apprentice star was not on board during the time, but immediately drove to the scene of the accident to check on the victims, and his five bandmates who were treated for minor injuries.
"This is a real tragedy," Adkins said in a statement. "Two people have been killed and I don't even know their names. So out of respect for their families, I prefer not to comment too much at this time."
Adkins, who is currently on tour with country star Martina McBride, will take the stage with an acoustic set Saturday night, while sitting out Sunday's show Florida.

Heading to a spa and detoxing in rehab are not the same thing.

Howard Stern on Artie Lange: Don't Forget How Great He Is
Howard Stern may be the King of All Media, but he's not without humility when it comes to his ailing sidekick.
Artie Lange was hospitalized in New Jersey over the weekend and Stern has no intention of shedding light on the situation. Per PhillyBurbs.com, he told Sirius Satellite Radio listeners Monday morning that he plans to respect Lange's family's wishes and leave it to them to make official comments.
However, he wasn't shy about sharing his thoughts on the man himself. In fact, he's even plotting a compilation of Lange's great moments to air on the radio show later this week.
"Artie has given this show tremendous moments of great comedy," the Private Parts star said. "He's a tremendous contributor. He is a good man. Don't forget how great he is."
"[He] is the most loving guy, always giving," cohost Robin Quivers added.
