Those are dangerous paws she's got there.

A few weeks into filming Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated Batman sequel, The Dark Knight Rises, in which she plays Catwoman, Anne Hathaway has already done some damage—punching the lights out of a stuntman during a fight sequence.

So what put this kitty in a tizzy?

As the Sun reports, the 28-year-old thesp ended up jamming the butt of a gun directly into the eye of the poor fella, who walked away with a big shiner and a splitting headache.

"Anne got a bit carried away during a fight scene and mistakenly shoved the butt of the gun right into the actor's eye socket," a source told the newspaper. "He came away with a massive black eye—Anne was mortified."

But not without a sense of humor. Hathaway felt so bad she gave the dude something to remember her by as an apology—a silver pen engraved with the words: "Remember no one packs a punch like Anne."

A rep for Warner Bros. was unavailable for comment on the incident.

"It was all in good humor but the poor guy took quite a pummeling," the insider insisted.

No doubt. DKR is expected to pack quite a wallop action-wise.

The third and final chapter in Nolan's Bat-tastic trilogy, which also stars Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader, Tom Hardy as baddie Bane, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and new-to-the-series Matthew Modine, hits theaters in July 2012, and Warner Bros. is already launching a clever viral campaign.
