At this point, people might want to start putting out press releases when President Barack Obama isn't going to be on their show.

As it happens, the commander in chief is continuing his quest to be the new Betty White, as the White House has confirmed that Obama will appear on The Daily Show Oct. 27, a week before the pivotal congressional elections, but even more importantly, just days before Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's joint Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear in Washington, D.C.

Question No. 1: just what's so amusing about that?

The episode itself will be filmed in the Capitol, as will the entire week of Daily Shows leading up to the rally. It'll mark Obama's first stop on the show as the sitting president, as his last appearance was back when he was campaigning for office in 2008.

Something tells us they're gonna have a lot to catch up on.
