Michelle Obama is more than the first lady of the United States.

She's also the most powerful woman in the world, according to Forbes' list of, well, the World's 100 Most Powerful Women.

According to the list-loving magazine, Obama, along with Oprah Winfrey (queen of Hollywoodland but a mere third in this case), Lady Gaga, Ellen DeGeneres, Angelina Jolie, E!'s own Chelsea Handler and love-or-hate-her Sarah Palin, are "shaping many of the agenda-setting conversations of our day" and "driving meaningful change across the world."

But which of the aforementioned ladies ranks closest to Mrs. O and Ms. O when it comes to ruling her realm of influence with an iron fist?

That would be 24-year-old Lady Gaga, who at No. 7 is the highest-ranking performer and the youngest woman on the entire list. Her perch in the top 10 also places her above Washington power brokers like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

Even Queen Elizabeth II is languishing at No. 41!

Ninth-place Beyoncé almost has Gaga's number, and DeGeneres, even though she's lost the American Idol bully pulpit, weighs in at No. 10.

The ubiquitous Palin comes in at No. 16, while Jolie, Katie Couric, Madonna and Handler are sitting pretty at Nos. 21, 22, 29 and 33, respectively.

Other names you may recognize from your daily media consumption: Heidi Klum (39), Meredith Vieira (40), Sarah Jessica Parker (45), Diane Sawyer (46), Twilight author Stephenie Meyer (49), Serena and Venus Williams (55, 60), Gisele Bündchen (72), Rachael Ray (78) and Martha Stewart (99).
