The smoke has cleared—this time, of its own volition.

A day after Kelly Clarkson apologized to fans for not reading the fine print on her contract, resulting in her image getting prominently attached to ads for an Indonesian cigarette company, the tobacco purveyors have pulled sponsorship of her Jakarta tour stop.

Clarkson's promoter said that a "final agreement" had been made with L.A. Lights to eliminate all evidence of the company in time for the April 29 concert. That means all billboards and other ads, including TV spots, that feature the original American Idol will disappear in the next couple of days.

Yesterday, Clarkson denounced the unwitting partnership. While she opposed the ads, however, she said it wouldn't be fair on her fans to cancel the concert (their lives would suck without her), calling it a "lose-lose."

But no tobacco ads and a Kelly Clarkson concert? Now that's a win-win.
