Girlicious singer Natalie Mejia pleaded not guilty Thursday to felony possession of cocaine to sell in connection with her March 9 arrest, when police allegedly found a dozen baggies of coke in her Gucci purse during a traffic stop.

Mejia, whose pop trio took shape on the CW show Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious, was a passenger in the car—the driver, Peter Ascensio, was also arrested—and maintains that she does not know how the drugs got in her bag.

A court date was set for April 26 to determine whether there's enough evidence against Mejia to proceed to trial.

Police said last month that Ascencio made "some statement" indicating that the cocaine was his, but that given the evidence, it was up to the district attorney to press charges.
