It'll take a momentous event to surpass Twilight stud Robert Pattinson on our most-visited celeb fanpages, and not even the shocking death of Michael Jackson could seal the deal. The pop icon's untimely passing only got him into the No. 2 spot.
Friends and family of the King of Pop, too, found their way up the list this week. And their appearances (or lack thereof) at the legendary luminary's memorial have jolted them to the top ranks of our fanpages.
Here are the 9 Jackson comrades who most thrilled our readers this week:
9. Diana Ross
Diana was absent from the public memorial service, despite going way back with the moonwalker. In fact, the two were so close that in his will Michael asked that she rear his kids if his mom wasn't willing or able.
8. John Mayer
The sensitive singer opted to stick to the guitar during his performance of "Human Nature" at M.J.'s memorial, out of respect to the legend's vocal talent. He had never met Michael, but was asked to perform by the Jackson crew.
One of the closest pals of the King of Pop, Liz coined the nickname when she presented him with the Artist of the Decade Award in 1989. She chose to skip the star-studded memorial and grieve her loss in private.
6. Usher
The R&B artist gave a soulful performance of "Gone Too Soon."
5. Mariah Carey
At the memorial, M.C. did her best to hold back tears and make it through her rendition of the Jackson 5 classic "I'll Be There."
A mark of respect turned creepy: Child star and longstanding friend showed up to the ceremony in head-to-toe M.J. trademark attire.
The Idol paid tribute to the music star before a live audience with an unblemished "Will You Be There?" performance.
Baby sis gave a loving tribute to her late brother at the BET Awards on behalf of the Jackson fam.
The actress was one of many celebs who paid respects at the Staples Center on Tuesday. She befriended the thriller when she was a youngster, and gave a superpersonal tearjerker of a speech remembering the old days.
