Freddie Prince Jr.: 24's New Ass-Kicking Bad Boy?
We've seen him dance, make girls swoon and even be a crime-chasing goofball (remember Scooby-Doo?). But can Freddie Prince Jr. play a hard-core badass à la Kiefer Sutherland's Jack Bauer?
We'll just have to wait and see when season eight of 24 debuts on Jan. 17, 2010. Freddie is joining the CTU gang, Fox confirms to E! He'll be coming to the cast as Davis Cole, a former Marine who runs CTU field operations and wants to follow in Jack Bauer's footsteps. Though he's not the only new face...
Kiefer Sutherland Promises the Most Dramatic 24 Finale Ever
Jack Bauer's mortality comes into serious question in tonight's two-hour season finale of 24.
Truth be told, Kiefer Sutherland is signed on for next season, but the question is, in what capacity? As executive producer Jon Cassar teased of Jack Bauer's impending death, "It's going to get pretty close; it will go down to that last scene." We've seen the finale for ourselves and can assure you that he's not magically healed by season's end.
Kiefer takes a minute to talk about the dramatic turn his character has taken this season, and how he personally deals with the pesky media when it comes to things like head-butting another man or going to jail.
"Gentleman" Kiefer Returns to L.A., Gets Lauded By Costars
After his headline- (and misdemeanor-) grabbing week in New York, Kiefer Sutherland is back in Los Angeles to celebrate the season finale of 24. And lest Jack Bauer be in the market for any character references, he need look no further than last night's red carpet.
While Sutherland and castmates refused to directly address the actor's arrest and alleged head-butting of Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough, the 24 supporting players did their best to lend their pal support.
"His focus is phenomenal, his commitment is phenomenal," acting president Cherry Jones told E! News. "In a social setting, he's the only man I've ever known who's ever escorted me to the ladies' room, waited for me, and taken me back to my table.
"That is a gentleman."
Jon Voight, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Elisha Cuthbert—all but the humble Sutherland—seemed to be in agreement on the mannerly matter.
8 Kilometres: Stellar Truffaut Strange Brew
Clutched in the death-grip of a slow-news holiday weekend seems like the perfect time for some New Wave French beer ads. Right? Right?! Ready or not, here's a toast to hops-slingers Stella Artois for the nifty 8 Mile spoof above. Done up in the style of François Truffaut, this rap throw-down showdown features Monte Carlo gang signs and suave, trash-talking French beatniks? It's the merde, bro.
(Merci and a shout out to our homies hommes at Les Gawquer and Adfrique for hipping us to this badass, beret-wearing scene.)
And there's more. Check out the jump to see 24's Jack Bauer as a blasé, French slacker tasked with saving the world in Vingt-Quatre Heures.
24 Can't Keep a Good Slumdog Down
Who wants to be a 24 series regular? At least one star of Slumdog Millionaire.
Continuing the cast's post-Oscars domination of Hollywood (see: Freida Pinto's endless array of job offers), Bollywood heavyweight Anil Kapoor has signed on as a full-time cast member for the forthcoming eighth season of 24.
Kapoor, who made his mark on Western screens as the suspicious, outsized game show host in Danny Boyle's acclaimed film, will star as a Middle Eastern leader who comes to the U.S. on a peacekeeping mission—and, one assumes, crosses paths with Jack Bauer somewhere along the way.
As it is, Kapoor is the first major casting announcement for the next world-saving day of 24. Kiefer Sutherland & Co.'s current seventh season will conclude with a two-hour finale on May 18.
While no premiere date has been set, 24's eighth season, which will mark Kapoor's first American TV role in his nearly three-decade career, will likely kick off, as usual, in January of next year.
24 Cuts Out Hot Kiefer Kiss
We've never once seen him hit a water fountain, a vending machine or the men's room, but that doesn't mean 24's Jack Bauer doesn't have needs!
You fans who've been hoping for a hookup between Jack [Kiefer Sutherland] and the show's new femme fatale Renee Walker [Annie Wersching] were thisclose to getting exactly that.
“In the script after episode 10, when I slap Jack, there was a kiss written into that episode but they took it out of the script last minute,” Annie herself dishes to us.
But why? We want to see them hook up, don’t we? Read on for the scoop from Annie...
24's Jack Bauer Fights Bad Guys, Global Warming
Who is the greenest of them all? How about 24?
Following through on a promise made two years ago, the Emmy-winning Fox series has become the first carbon-neutral production in TV history.
The network plans to launch a public-service campaign during tonight's two-hour special featuring series star Kiefer Sutherland singing the praises of 24's greener pastures and asking viewers to follow the show's lead to help combat global warming.
