Jayma Mays has been playing Emma Pillsbury for five seasons on Glee, but it's time to move on. The 34-year-old actress stopped by E!'s Chelsea Lately Tuesday, where she revealed she might be leaving the Fox smash.
"It is probably [the end] for me, for my character, but I'm not sure about the show itself," Mays said.
Beginning in Season 4, Mays was downgraded to a recurring role. While Glee has been renewed for a sixth season, it's unclear how the writers might end Emma's storyline. "They could kill her off," Mays said in response to Chelsea Handler's suggestion. "I'm not really sure." That's when a light bulb went off: "She has obsessive compulsive disorder on the show, so she could sanitize herself to death!"
It's not like Mays isn't busy these days: she currently stars opposite Will Arnett on CBS' The Millers.
Her TV work aside, the Smurfs 2 star is nominated for Favorite Movie Actress at Saturday's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award. "I'm gonna try to bribe as many kids as I can!" she joked.
