Remember George Clooney as Dr. Doug Ross, the original McDreamy? Of course you do!

And we're happy to see that Clooney hasn't forgotten where he came from, either.

"I don't like John Wells," the actor deadpanned as he stepped up to the podium to help dedicate a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to the prolific producer of ER, The West Wing, Mildred Pierce and much more.

"I don't want to say too much, but formerly two-time Sexiest Man Alive," Clooney added. But then he got to the point.

"Altogether, it's a tremendous body of work and the reason he is so deserving of a star on the Walk of Fame," Clooney said of Wells, his longtime friend and former ER boss. "But what the star won't tell you is about his character. It's a quality that those of us lucky enough to know him find to be his greatest achievement."

From ensuring that an assistant director on ER who had terminal cancer kept getting paid even when he couldn't work anymore to securing bonuses for every cast and crewmember when the NBC hit got sold, Wells sounds like a hell of a guy, if you can believe his old friend.

And, considering Clooney is considered one of the straightest shooters in showbiz, we do!

Allison Janney, Lucy Liu, Goran Visnjic and members of the cast of his latest show, Shameless, also showed up to fete Wells.
