Are you ready for some Sarah Palin with your morning coffee?

Well, get ready, because the former Republican vice presidential candidate will cohost and appear as a live guest on the Today show this Tuesday.

The morning show website promises that "she'll reveal a different side of her than you've ever seen before."

So, what can viewers expect from the former Alaska governor—and what's up with the Katie Couric connection?

"Palin is coming Tuesday as a live guest in the 7 a.m. hour for an interview on the political news of the day. Then she will co-host the 8 a.m. hour and take part in some of the show segments," a rep for NBC tells E! News. (E! and Today and both part of the NBCUniversal family.)

That means we'll not only get to hear Palin's thoughts on the current events, but she'll take a seat at the anchor desk alongside Matt Lauer and Ann Curry as well.

Coincidentally, Katie Couric will also fill in as host on Good Morning America this week. The two women are forever connected after Couric's infamous 2008 CBS Evening News interview with Palin—so prepare for a little morning competition with your cup of joe!

But a rep for NBC insists they have wanted Palin on Today for sometime:

"They've been trying to make this happen ever since the show (and Matt) visited her at her home in Wasilla back in 2008. Their decision stems from the fact that she knows politics, she's a hockey mom and she's had considerable TV experience in the last few years," NBC explained. "Today feels she's very comfortable talking about a wide range of topics that will resonate with morning TV viewers."

Here's to an exciting Tuesday talk show morning!
