Henry Cavill has joined social media...much slower than a speeding bullet.

But he's here, and he comes bearing gifts.

The 32-year-old actor, who plays Superman in Zack Snyder's new superhero films, picked Facebook as his first social media account. He joined it on Oct. 6. On Wednesday, he joined Instagram.

His first post? The December 2015 cover of Total Film magazine (yes, the same U.K. outlet that started the Back to the Future Day date hoax), which shows him in costume as Superman, standing next to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice co-stars Ben Affleck, dressed as the caped crusader, and Gal Gadot, dressed as a tougher looking Wonder Woman.

He also posted the image on Facebook.

"So I've finally taken the leap into social media!" he wrote on Instagram. "And here's a little treat for you all in the form of a sneak peak of the Batman v Superman cover shot from Total Film magazine, before the issue comes out on Friday. @batmanvsuperman #batmanvsuperman #totalfilm."

Several images of characters from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice have been released over the past year, while trailers have also hit the Internet. The movie is set to hit theaters on March 25, 2016.

When Cavill joined Facebook earlier this month, he swiftly posted a profile pic of his hot self.

A day later, he updated his cover photo with a serene image of clouds in the sky. Get it? Clouds? Superman? He flies?

On Wednesday, he changed his profile pic to a different photo of his hot self, from his visit to Durrell Wildlife Park in England in August 2014.

As of Wednesday morning, Cavill's Facebook page has more than 87,000 likes and his Instagram page has more than 83,500 followers. Affleck and Gadot joined social media a while ago. The actor is on Twitter (2.08 million followers) and Facebook (819,000 likes), while Gadot is on Twitter (409,000 followers), Facebook (6.7 million likes) and Instagram (690,000 followers).
