Kanye West Takes Care of North West and Kourtney Kardashian's Kids While Family Remains With Lamar Odom: Exclusive Details

Rapper has remained in Los Angeles while Kardashians visit hospital in Las Vegas

Kanye West is doing his part to help his wife's family cope with Lamar Odom's current condition.

A source close to the family tells E! News the rapper has put a pause on his busy schedule to take care of North West as well as Kourtney Kardashian's three children while she and Kim Kardashian stay at the hospital where Odom remains in critical condition.

West has lent a hand in watching Mason, Penelope and Reign while their dad, Scott Disick, seeks treatment in a rehabilitation center for drug and alcohol abuse—news that broke yesterday amid all the chaos surrounding Odom.

Khloe Kardashian's ex-husband was taken to the hospital Tuesday after being found unconscious at a Las Vegas brothel. Doctors were treating his case as a presumable drug overdose, and we're told Odom's condition "remains critical." The basketball star is unconscious and is breathing with the help of a ventilator.

Today, an insider notes that the situation is "no better, no worse. Nothing's changed. Everyone is praying for a miracle." However, the source adds that doctors are preparing loved ones that, should Lamar's brain be functional, it could be a very "long-term" process of coming out of a coma, if at all.

Since entering Sunrise Hospital, many friends—including Kobe Bryant—and family members have rushed to be by Odom's side. Kylie Jenner and Kris Jenner also remain at the hospital with Khloe, Kim and Kourtney.

Those who can't be there have taken to social media to share their prayers for the NBA star, including Rob Kardashian, who posted a heartfelt message for his "brother."

Whether at the hospital or not, everyone in the family has put their busy schedules aside to be there for Khloe and Odom. Kim even canceled her baby shower that was originally scheduled for this weekend to give her utmost support to her sister.

Despite filing for divorce in December 2013 and cutting off contact with him this summer, Khloe remains "completely inconsolable" during this tragic time and refuses to leave Odom's bedside.
