Happy Birthday, Instagram! You are five years old and in Internet years that makes you 509!* Wow, you're old. Do you call young people "youths?" Are you shaking canes at the kids skateboarding on your street right now?

(*We made that up)

Just kidding, we'd be totally lost without you. Please have 50 more birthdays because if we're not scrolling through you, desperately trying not to accidently "like" an ex boyfriend's photo from 46 weeks ago than we are just. Not. Living.

To celebrate its big birthday, Instagram released some really fascinating data. For example, do you know what was in the first photo ever uploaded to the site? Hint: it wasn't a selfie…

It was an adorable dog! Of course.

If the first photo ever posted to Instagram wasn't a selfie or a fancy looking plate of food, it only seems right it was a cute animal. The photo was taken and uploaded by Instagram CEO and co-founder Kevin Systrom 63 months ago.

As for the celebs that dominate the app, the top five Instagram accounts belong to some of the biggest names in the music business…and Kim Kardashian:

3. Beyonce
4. Selena Gomez
5. Ariana Grande

And if you look at the most liked Instagram photos of all time, you'll notice there's sort of a pattern. And we like to call that pattern "Jenners + Swifty = all the hearts!" They are killin' that ‘gram game, y'al.

With over 80 million photos uploaded to Instagram every day (that's actually insane), the social media photo-sharing site is probably feeling pretty good about it's longevity.
