A lot has changed since Armie Hammer and Henry Cavill filmed The Man from U.N.C.L.E. The Warner Bros. movie, arriving in theaters Aug. 14, was filmed in the fall of 2013. Cavill was riding high off the success of Man of Steel, and the next year, he suited up again to film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Hammer, meanwhile, filmed Mine, and in December 2014, he welcomed his firstborn daughter, Harper.

So, how is fatherhood? "It's great. It's the best thing in the world. It's sort of a whole new perspective. I don't even want to sleep anymore. I just want to stay up and spend time [with my daughter]. I don't want to miss a smile. It's the best. I love it," Hammer told E! News at CinemaCon in Las Vegas Tuesday.

"Without getting too sappy," he added, "it's great!"

"Liar!" Cavill, 31, teased.

Hammer jokingly replied, "I've actually only been home twice!"

But enough baby talk. In The Man From U.N.C.L.E., based on the 1964 MGM television series of the same name, American spy Napoleon Solo (Cavill) reluctantly teams up with Russian KGB agent Illya Kuryakin (Hammer) in order to stop a mysterious international criminal organization from creating a global catastrophe. "It's a Cold War thriller set in the '60s," Cavill said. "It's cool, sexy, fun. It doesn't take itself too seriously, but it definitely has some serious undertones as well."

Hammer said he did "quite a bit" of stunt work. "There was a lot of driving. There was a lot of fighting. There was a lot of stuff we did ourselves."

"We didn't actually even have stuntmen. We did 'em all ourselves," he joked.

"We did have stuntmen, obviously, but we did as much as they allowed us to do," Cavill said. "Armie does some incredible stuff on a motorbike, but there's only so much they'll let him do for insurance reasons because we had other scenes to shoot after that one, in case he, you know, killed himself."

There were some on-set mishaps, of course. "I lost a motorcycle in the swamp. I crashed," Hammer, 28, admitted. "It took a lot of time to get the motorcycle out of the swamp, but other than that, no injuries. I think everybody else was good."
