Talk about smart offspring! Both Katie Couric and Rob Lowe dropped off their eldest child to start college at Stanford on Tuesday.

The television host posted a Twitter picture of her 18-year-old daughter, Carrie Monahan, saying "Move in day @Stanford! #goodluckclassof18!"

In the picture, Carrie looks cute in a sundress and ready for her first year of college equipped with her nametag on a lanyard around her neck. Katie, of course, looks like one proud mama!

Lowe also said goodbye to his first born when he dropped his son John Owen Lowe off as well. The actor tweeted a picture of the University's mascot saying, "One of the best, (and most disturbing) mascots ever. #DropOffDay."

The star then took to Instagram to celebrate his son's big day by posting a picture of the student with his mom, Lowe's wife Sheryl Berkoff.

The Parks and Recreation actor captioned the picture by saying, "This dorm was empty this morning. A mom's love and talent and a few hours later: a new home." The room is decked out in Stanford gear and fun posters.

John Owen's dad can be seen most recently in Sex Tape with Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel.

Have a great freshman year, you two!
