Step aside, Angelina Jolie—there's a new Maleficient in Hollywood!

Kristin Chenoweth is set to tackle the iconic role of the Disney villain in Descendants, the Disney Channel's highly anticipated upcoming original movie, the network announced on Thursday.

The live-action adventure comedy is set to begin production in late May and will premiere on the Disney Channel in 2015. Descendants introduces viewers to the teenage progeny of Disney's most iconic villains from films such as 101 Dalmations, Aladdin and more.

The Tony and Emmy award winning Chenoweth is set to bump onscreen horns with Dove Cameron, who will tackle the role of Mal, Maleficient's teenage daughter.

The fan favorite Glee guest star joins a cast that includes Twilight's Booboo Stewart as Jafar's son, Jay, Sofia Carson as the Evil Queen's daughter, Evie, and Jessie star Cameron Boyce as Cruella de Vil's son, Carlos. (Um, how freakin' awesome does this DCOM sound?!) But it's not all baddie offspring as Aussie newcomer Mitchell Hope has been cast as Ben, Belle and the Beast's son.

Of course, Chenoweth isn't the first Hollywood leading lady to don the iconic Sleeping Beauty villain's horns recently as Angelina Jolie stars as the 1959 classic film's baddie in this summer's blockbuster flick, Maleficient.
