Calling all comic book fans, your prayers have been answered!
After months of speculation and anticipation, comic book writer, editor, publisher and action-hero enthusiast Stan Lee will be making a very special television appearance on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., E! News has confirmed.
The man of many titles will be appearing on ABC's hit action drama sometime in February. Although the details of Lee's appearance are being kept tightly under wraps, Marvel Comic's former chairman tells The Hollywood Reporter that it will be a "big role."
Bigger than The Hulk? We'll just wait to wait a find out!
This news certainly does not come as a huge shock to most Marvel fans. Lee is no stranger to the bright lights of TV and movies due to the fact that he has made countless cameos throughout the franchise's vast onscreen outings.
From a hot dog vendor in 2000's X-Men, to an optimistic mail carrier in Fantastic Four (2005) and a beauty pageant judge in 2013's Iron Man 3, Lee has appeared in more than 17 of Marvel's feature films over the last 13 years. One of Lee's most notable small-screen cameos was on a 2010 episode of everyone's favorite pro-comic book comedy The Big Bang Theory.
With Lee's guest stint on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. good-to-go, fans can also catch the comic book connoisseur's starring role on the Hub Network's animated movie Stan Lee's Mighty 7 premiering Feb. 1.
The Hollywood Reporter was the first to report this news.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
