This year has been good to Robert Downey Jr.!

The Iron Man actor was just named the Most Valuable Star of 2013 by Vulture. The New York magazine site combined domestic and overseas box office totals, studio value, likeability, Oscars, critics' scores, Twitter mentions and tabloid value when deciding exactly which Hollywood stars would make the list.

Leonardo DiCaprio was named "The Star Who Started Smiling Again" and landed the No. 2 spot.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence was dubbed "The Breakthrough BFF" and was in third place on the top 100 list. The mag wrote about the Hunger Games beauty, "Nobody has navigated instant fame better than her."

The top five also included Sandra Bullock, who has seen her star power rise after taking a few years off from the limelight, and "Golden Boy" Brad Pitt.

So who nabbed the rest of the spots in the top ten? Well, it appears that the slots six through ten were male -dominated after all.

Will Smith, Christian Bale, Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks and Johnny Depp were given the honors, respectively. Not bad, gentlemen.

And it wouldn't be show business without a few surprise twists, now would it?

Matt Damon fell to the No. 19 spot and was named "The Star Who Slipped" after struggling with box office sales last year.

In addition, Bradley Cooper came in at No. 23 with a title that will undoubtedly stir controversy far and wide: "The New Brad." Ballsy, but possibly true?! We'll let you decide.

But it seems as though none of the famous faces listed could top RDJ's big screen gold standard.

Earlier this year, the actor ranked No. 1 on Forbes' annual list of the highest paid actors, banking $75 million from June 2012 to June 2013 thanks to the generous slice of the box office pie he got for starring in The Avengers last year.

Congrats!
