It sounds like things are still cordial between Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones following their split after 13 years of marriage.

Over the weekend, the 69-year-old actor gave us an update during a press event for his new movie Last Vegas. "Fine, doing great," Douglas told E! News when asked about his and Zeta-Jones' status. "Onwards and upwards."

Douglas and Zeta-Jones announced their split back in August. A rep for the 44-year-old actress said at the time, "Catherine and Michael are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage."

Douglas and Zeta-Jones tied the knot in 2000 at NYC's Plaza Hotel. Since announcing their separation, both of the stars have been spotted wearing their wedding rings. Douglas brushed off the breakup reports last month, telling reporters in Europe "I have a crisis at home? No, I think the press has a crisis. We are fine. My wife and I are fine."

During last month's Emmy awards, Douglas also thanked Zeta-Jones during his acceptance speech and even referred to her as his "wife."

Meanwhile, Douglas dished about his early visits to Las Vegas with his father Kirk Douglas when he was young.

"My memories of Las Vegas were all with my father when I was like a teenager," he told E! News. "He was best friends with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and we'd come up and see the shows and go backstage afterwards and have dinner together. It was one of my first educations about stars and how they really are back stage. Those are my best memories of when I was a kid. Since then I've just lost a lot of money."
