Justin Bieber might need to put a leash on his posse.

Police in Southampton, N.Y., confirm to E! News that members of the 19-year-old singer's entourage are being investigated for an alleged beatdown that occurred at approximately 4 a.m. on Saturday night outside the South Pointe nightclub.

Authorities were not called to the scene but a police spokesperson tells us the unidentified male victim went to the Peconic Bay Medical Center at noon on Sunday and later filed a complaint alleging assault.

In footage obtained exclusively by E! News, Bieber, wearing a black T-shirt and red backward cap, is seen in the parking lot by his crew's SUV when the purported altercation broke out between the clubgoer and the crooner's bodyguards, but Bieber was not involved and is not considered a suspect.

Despite his penchant for getting turned away from various hot spots due to the fact he's underage, the footage also showed Bieber managing to gain entrance to the club where he was photographed in the VIP section watching a string of scantily clad beauties on the dance floor.

A source tells E! News that the popster arrived at South Pointe at around 2:42 a.m. with approximately 12 to 14 people that were part of his entourage. While there, he was given the VIP treatment all night, though he was adamant about drinking water.

The source added that fellow clubgoers offered to buy him champagne and drinks but Bieber refused and was very respectful while inside, hanging with his friends and flirting with several women, or as the insider put it, "trolling for chicks."

According to the source, around 3:20 a.m. Bieber left the venue with his crew and two servers from the club who, as can be seen in the video, were wearing tight coral dresses. Bieber apparently asked the club's manager if the ladies could leave early and the manager obliged.

While the women closed their tabs for the night, the teen heartthrob waited outside for 20 minutes where he was set upon by people who swarmed his car to try and take pictures, prompting his bodyguards to keep people away while he waited for the waitresses.

At that point, there was a lot of yelling and pushing in the parking lot when the fisticuffs supposedly happened, though the video obtained by E! News does not show the exact moment of the physical confrontation that occurred between Bieber's bodyguard and another man who fell to the ground.

Reps for the Bieber have yet to comment on the fracas.

South Pointe management however confirmed Bieber partied there that evening, dancing and enjoying tunes spun by DJ dBerrie, but stressed that he was nowhere near the row which, in any case, occurred off of its property.

"The police are currently investigating an incident that happened off premise and down the street from South Pointe in which Justin Bieber's security confronted the individual after their car was struck with a rock after 4 a.m. The police have confirmed that there was no incident in the club or on the premises and the altercation took place off the premises. They have asked the South Pointe staff not to comment further as it is a police investigation," South Pointe said in a statement.

The club noted that the incident started in the parking lot when the alleged victim (according to South Pointe, the guy with a ripped shirt in the video) wantedt to a pick a fight with J.B. and followed him. When the clubgoer threw a rock his direction, that's when Bieber's bodyguards roughed him up, said management, adding that the guy's injuries were minor.

Bieber has been making quite a few headlines for his nightclub outings. Last month while in Chicago on his Believe Tour, the hitmaker paid a visit to Windy City nightclub Bodi Chicago and the venue was subsequently slapped with a citation from police for allowing him inside because of his minor status.

Not long before that, Bieber was turned away from Los Angeles' Lure nightclub in June, though he was spotted club-hopping at some of NYC's hottest nightspots in May.
