Watch: Benedict Cumberbatch "Treks" in Terror

If the recent release of the Star Trek Into Darkness trailer wasn't enough to get us pumped for the sci-fi sequel, along comes Benedict Cumberbatch dishing to E! News about playing new villain John Harrison.

Check out what the freshly minted Golden Globe nominee has to say in this week's installment of Big-Screen Scoop, plus we're also giving you deets on Michael Douglas and Matt Damon's Liberace biopic and more.

Uh oh! There's a new Star Trek baddie in town
Star Trek Into Darkness
may not hit theaters until May, but Benedict Cumberbatch has finally been allowed to talk about John Harrison, the new villain he plays in the much-anticipated sequel.

The Golden Globe nominee tells E! News that John is a "homegrown terrorist."

"That should be chilling in itself, but the fact is he's incredibly adept at hand-to-hand combat and weaponry," Cumberbatch says. "And he's also a psychological terrorist. He's somebody who can destroy links of trust and convince people to do his bidding."

Cumberbatch gone evil? We'll take it.

Liberace Realness
By now you may have heard about Matt Damon's naked kissing scene with Michael Douglas in the upcoming Liberace biopic, Behind the Candelabra.

So now it's time to talk about the wardrobe. We're happy to report we will see some of the late entertainer's own over-the-top wardrobe in the flick, which stars Douglas in the title role and Damon as his young lover, Scott Thorson.

"You weren't allowed to touch it," Damon told us at the premiere of his latest drama, Promised Land. "You had to handle it with gloves if you handled it. It was just in the background of a scene where he walks into his walk-in closet and you see all of these jackets. They were actually the ones that he wore, so that was cool."

Sounds faaaab-ulous.

Jolie-Pitt kids could be Kung Fu fighting
If Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's kids, Vivienne, Pax and Zahara, really have been bitten by the acting bug, director Jennifer Yuh wouldn't mind having them pop alongside their mom in the third installment of the animated Kung Fu Panda franchise.

"It's really up to them," Yuh recently told us. "But they're a joy. We love every little bit we can get of them. It's a wonderful, wonderful thing to see every time."

Fingers crossed.

Friday Night Lights movie not totally dead
It's been reported that Kyle Chandler may not be too keen on a new Friday Night Lights movie, but don't count him out just yet. While he says he hasn't "heard from anyone" about reuniting with the cast on the big screen, it's not like he's totally opposed to the idea.

"I guess I'd have to read a script," he said at the premiere of his new movie, Zero Dark Thirty.

Until then, we'll keep on hoping.
