Isn't this how Justin Bieber got started?

Chances are, last Friday you were probably blissfully unaware of Rebecca Black's "Friday," an autotuned stroll through the life of a teen who can't seem to decide whether to sit in the front or back seat of her friend's car.

We get it: It's so hard to choose! But you know what's not difficult?

Wearing a seat belt when you and your braces-wearing backup back seat dancers go out for some "partyin'" and "fun fun fun fun." Put one on next time, kids!

The video blew up over the weekend, as Internet rubberneckers have viewed the scene of the aspiring singer's droning study of what was once a day people saw fit to thank God for. In Black's world, it's a day of cereal and teen get-togethers with no adults in sight.

Fun? Not so much. The reaction, in general, has been less than positive. (Though it's already been covered by a fake Bob Dylan.)

But look, she's in eighth grade and already has 2.5 million people checking out her music (as of Monday), so maybe she's onto something Bieber-esque, right? Or are we trying too hard to soften what seems to be overwhelming rejection of her debut single?
