Taylor Swift is not just cheer captain for boyfriend Travis Kelce.
The Grammy winner cheered on his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, as they embarked on the 2024 NFL draft, by showing some low-key support for their newest recruit. Taylor smashed that like button on the team's April 25 Instagram post showing footage of University of Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy learning that the Chiefs selected him to join the team.
And her subtle endorsement did not go unnoticed by Swifties.
"Not Taylor liking this," one person commented. "Omg she's locked in."
Another user wrote, "WTFFF TAYLOR LIKED THE POST??? She just released an album but instead of promoting it she's sitting at home watching @chiefs's draft??? Girlie is into football."
Taylor, who had cheered on Travis at several of the Chiefs' games last season and celebrated with him and his teammates when they won the 2024 Super Bowl in February, released her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department April 19. And while Travis has given Taylor the occasion shoutout on his and brother Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast, she appeared to return the favor with sports references in the songs "The Alchemy" and "So High School."
As for the NFL star's reaction his appearances in her new songs? "Travis is so supportive of the entire album," a source recently told E! News, "and loves that he is a part of Taylor's story."
The insider added, "He is very proud of her."
In addition to releasing her new record, the "Blank Space" singer also released a music video for first single "Fortnight" as well as a montage of videos that offered fans a glimpse at her personal life. It included a shot of her boyfriend giving her a kiss on the cheek while she cooked dinner and footage of her home-baked cinnamon rolls.
And the clip show earned the seal of approval from Travis' friend Ross Travis, a former Chiefs player who in February accompanied the fellow athlete during a short trip to Australia to visit Taylor on her Eras tour.
"I didn't think I'd be getting teased with those cinnyyy rolls today…" he commented on E! News' Instagram post about the singer's video. "Dammit."
